One of them days

You ever have one of those days where everything seems to go right but really isn't. Well thats the story of my life there are days that are great and then there are days that great but not so great. Let me clarify. From my point of view every day that you wake up is a great day. For in that day you are able to breathe, enjoy life, have fun and do what you want to do. Then there are great days that aren't so great. Then there are just days. Today was just a day. I hate to say that because I am usually looking on the bright side of things, trying to keep a positive attitude. Today though I really can't. I was listening to someone today talk about life stories and in there recount of stories they were talking about a sibling. Their sibling is handicapped. The next comment is what made my day into just a day. They said that their sibling is a person but not really a person. REALLY?  I had to bite my tongue. I could believe that someone could be so ignorant of the fact of how special disabled kids really are. The fact that they don't have to deal with the kind of crap we put up with day by day from the world. That they have their own little world and to them it is perfect. They are special little angels sent down to brighten our lives in their own unique way. I don't know maybe it hit home for me because I have two special needs children and I watch them grow day by day and see their lives as blessing. that my family, my wife and I were entrusted to not only bring them into this world but to care for them. I can't imagine my life with out them and then someone had to go and say that about their own flesh and blood. Words can't express how ticked off I am. Hope everyone has a better day than I did.
